Department of Tourism Names Spring Hill Chamber DMO
Welcome Center Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Slated; Tourism Advisory Board Selected for DMO Status
Spring Hill, Tenn. (October 11, 2022)—On July 5, 2022, the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development named the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce an official destination marketing organization (DMO) for Spring Hill, Tenn.
“We consider it a privilege to be able to meet the tourism needs of our Spring Hill community,” said Becca Melton, executive director of the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce. “ By leveraging our relationships within the local business community, we feel our tourism initiatives will contribute to the success of our local economy.”
Tourism Advisory Board for DMO
The Spring Hill Chamber formed a Tourism Advisory Board to help the chamber make decisions related to the promotion of Spring Hill. Accordingly, the board consists of representatives who contribute to the tourism industry in the Spring Hill area.

The mission of the Tourism Advisory Board is to support Spring Hill as a visitor destination by providing their expertise to the DMO on tourism matters. Additionally, the board’s advise will ensure community assets are properly promoted.
Coupled with the DMO designation, the Spring Hill Chamber has received funds from the City of Spring Hill in early 2022 to help with the establishment of a Welcome Center in Spring Hill.
Grand Opening of Welcome Center
Further, the grand opening celebration for the Welcome Center, located at 5326 Main Street in Spring Hill, is set for October 31, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Additionally, residents may visit the Welcome Center during a come-and-go open house celebration from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Lastly, in conjunction with the opening of the Welcome Center, the Spring Hill Chamber has partnered with South Central Tennessee Tourism Association to redevelop the Experience Spring Hill website. The website will serve as the digital version of the Welcome Center, providing information for both visitors and potential/new residents. The first phase of the website will launch at the end of October.

Update: The grand opening celebration for the Spring Hill Welcome Center, located at 5326 Main St., Spring Hill, Tenn., was held on October 31, 2022. Approximately 100 people attended. The ribbon was cut by 2022 Board Chair Clint McCain with Executive Director Becca Melton of the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce.
