We were so honored to host two professional speakers at our monthly networking luncheons recently.  Chris Hogan and Chris LoCurto provided great insight into leadership, a key attribute for our business members. I wanted to share some common themes from their presentations that everyone can benefit from:

  • Delegation not only gives you as the leader more work/life balance but empowers your team and allows them to contribute to the overall success of your organization
  • People need 3 things: Appreciation, Inspiration and Recognition. People are your biggest opportunity as a leader.
  • Great leaders can help others to get better at life.

I can’t help but to be inspired by these words to take the time to pour into those around me. I’ve recently been selected to the Leadership Middle Tennessee 2020 class which kicked off last week. Our theme for the year is ‘Humble Leadership’.  I’m excited to bring you all along with me on this journey and regularly report on what I learn in the program.  Both Chris Hogan’s and Chris LoCurto’s message reiterates the importance of being a humble leader.  Leaders are not just in a position to bring success to an organization but to empower others to lead and take ownership in bringing success to the organization.

What can you do today to empower those around you to be a better person, a better employee and a better leader? Please join us in our mission to positively influence our business culture to create a better Spring Hill.
