“Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated”- Confucius

Through the challenges of the last few months I am extremely grateful for the time to stop and focus on what really matters- relationships. I have personally been checked on and I’ve been checking on all the people in my life that matter. It’s unfortunate that it took a global pandemic to make it happen, but I know it is a habit that will continue because of its powerful impact. At the chamber, one of the first actions we took during the shutdown was calling and checking on all 400 of our members. We sincerely wanted to know how they were, what did they need, and how could we help? We offered Call In sessions for our members to share what they have been experiencing and to exchange resources. We also offered weekly prayer sessions to encourage one another. Our chamber has always had a reputation of being ‘family’ and this pandemic proved it. Listening has become our most powerful asset. Focusing on the simple things, like each other, is exactly what we all needed.

We feel like our 6 chamber attributes were given the opportunity to truly shine during a very uncertain time. Professional, Kind, Relationship-focused, Networking minded, Supportive and Growing & Developing. These attributes might appear very simplistic, but they focus on the basics of what our members need, in good times and the not so good times. When you join the Chamber you become a part of something much bigger than a networking organization, you become a part of a support system that will keep you going even when you don’t think you can. Our team has responded to a variety of needs from our members and the community during this time and we will continue to do so. If you could benefit from having an additional go-to resource for your business needs, please consider joining the Chamber. Right now is a great opportunity for you to grow your business and that is exactly the business we are in- helping you get to the next level through building key relationships. It’s that simple. We can’t wait to get to know you!
