2020 started out strong and then it felt like the rug was ripped right out from underneath us! Starting in March, each month has presented new challenges. I am so proud that our community has responded and bounced back from each one. Despite the negativity, our businesses and residents have shown that Spring Hill is full of generosity and the desire to help one another.

The number one question I have been asked over the last few months is, ‘How are our businesses doing?’. Each industry has obviously had different experiences during this pandemic. But, just like the last recession, Spring Hill is faring better than overall state projections. Our next virtual luncheon on June 25th will provide the qualitative and quantitative data to support that statement. We hope you can join us to listen to Wil Evans, President of Maury Alliance, Elizabeth McCreary, Economic Development Director for Williamson, Inc and Victor Lay, City Administrator for Spring Hill, provide us with the current state of their respective economies. While things have slowed, they have definitely not stopped. Our communities have stepped up in a big way to support local businesses just like our businesses have supported the community throughout the years. We are looking forward to the discussion and for all of us to learn more about the positive impact of supporting local. Special thanks to the event sponsor, Marriage Helper.  You can register for the event at www.springhillchamber.com.

Please continue to support our local businesses as they reopen to serve you. Please continue to show grace and to share your wonderful experiences through online reviews. The greatest compliment you can give a local business owner is to refer a friend to discover how great they are as well. You can find all of our businesses at www.experiencespringhill.com. Remember, our annual Experience Spring Hill event is tentatively planned for September 12th from 10am-2pm at Summit High School. Follow us on FB @SpringHillChamberTN to watch our virtual event this week and again next month to learn more about our local businesses, fun Spring Hill facts, and chances to win prizes! Our businesses want you to know how much they appreciate your support as they recover in this economy.
