Chamber Update 11-15-2017

Connect. A very simple word but one that conveys so much. Action, environment, purpose, achievement…the things that describe what a chamber of commerce does for the business community. But any chamber is only as good as its membership and I can tell you from years of experience that the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce is one of the strongest most vibrant chambers I have ever seen. That trait was very evident again at this year’s 2017 Mayor’s Ball. The evening was filled with good food, great entertainment, and the sold-out crowd raved about the stellar atmosphere, all of which perfectly embodied the event’s theme Connect.

John Maher Builders was the title sponsor for the third year in a row and in appreciation for John’s continued generous support of the chamber and of our community, was awarded Community Partner of the Year. Our silver sponsors were Maury Regional Health and The Reserve at Spring Hill. The generous contributions of these three businesses and chamber members were only the beginning of the outpouring of support from our 13 table sponsors: TriStar Spring Hill ER, ReMax Fine Homes, Williamson Medical Center, Vanderbilt University, Vanderbilt Health, First Farmers Bank, Ameris Bank Mortgage Services, The Drury Group, Chapter 2 Investments, Hampton Inn, Rippavilla Inc., Express Oil Change, and UAW Local 1853 who also facilitated the use of their beautiful ballroom. The Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce is so grateful to these wonderful sponsors for going above and beyond by championing this fundraiser for the chamber to further its mission of supporting our city’s businesses to make a better Spring Hill.

This event is not only a fundraiser though. It is a celebration to honor the hard work and commitment made to Spring Hill by our business community, our city leaders, and our citizens. But the chamber also wanted to use this event to shine a light on our growing art community. We reached out to SHAC, the Spring Hill Arts Center, to help us with our first interactive community art piece. SHAC jumped in without hesitation and created a truly beautiful experience. Every table worked on a section of the artwork and then all brought their segments together to reveal the final image which perfectly embodies who we are as a city. We are all unique and beautiful just like every star in the sky, but we are all connected just like constellations. Each and every one of us bring something special to the picture. Our combined efforts, wishes, hopes, and dreams complete it. A very special thank you to SHAC and to John Maher Builders for sponsoring this art piece that will be displayed in multiple locations throughout Spring Hill.

Again, we emphatically thank our incredible sponsors, our Mayor’s Ball committee, the chamber staff, the Chamber Board of Directors, all of the volunteers who graciously gave their time to help, and to everyone who attended the 2017 Mayor’s Ball. Together we make a better Spring Hill and we are looking forward to an amazing 2018!
